The Lamborghini Huracán is a luxury sports car produced by the Italian manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini. Heir to the Gallardo officially debuted at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Huracán combines high-level performance with ease of driving together with innovative technology. The Huracán is produced in the Lamborghini plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
Like most of the names that represent Lamborghini models, Huracán is inspired by the world of bullfighting. The Huracán fighting bull of the Spanish breed “Conte de La Patilla” became famous for its courage and strong inclination to attack. He fought in August 1879 in Alicante, where he remained undefeated, thus being remembered as one of the best bullfighting bulls.
The hybrid chassis of the Lamborghini Huracán is an integrated structure in carbon fiber and aluminum elements. With a dry weight of 1,422 kg, the body achieves a weight / power ratio of 2.33 kilograms per horsepower, and also guarantees driving precision like a racing car. The 5.2-liter V10 engine develops a maximum power of 448 kW / 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and an engine torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. In the IDS “Stratified Direct Injection” system, direct and indirect fuel injection are combined to ensure more power and more torque, at the same time as fuel consumption and emissions that meet the standards set by the Euro 6 legislation. The maximum speed is over 320 km / h, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes place in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km / h in 10.1 seconds.
