The Lamborghini Huracán is a luxury sports car produced by the Italian manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini. Heir to the Gallardo officially debuted at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Huracán combines high-level performance with ease of driving along with innovative technology. The Huracán is produced at Lamborghini’s plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
Like most of the names representing Lamborghini models, Huracán is inspired by the world of bullfighting. The Huracán fighting bull of the Spanish breed, “Count of La Patilla,” became famous for his courage and strong inclination to attack. He fought in August 1879 in Alicante, where he remained undefeated, thus being remembered among the best bullfighting bulls.
The hybrid chassis of the Lamborghini Huracán is an integrated structure of carbon fiber and aluminum elements. With a dry weight of 1,422 kilograms, the body allows for a power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kilograms per horsepower, and it also provides driving precision like a race car. The 5.2-liter V10 engine develops a maximum power output of 448 kW/610 hp at 8,250 rpm and a driving torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. In the IDS “Stratified Direct Injection” system, direct and indirect fuel injection are combined to provide more power and torque, at the same time as fuel consumption and emissions meet the standards set by Euro 6. The top speed is more than 200 mph (320 km/h), while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.1 seconds.
MAXIMUM SPEED: 324 kph.
ACCELERATION 0-100 KM/H: 3.4 seconds
SPECIFIC POWER: 117 hp/liter
